Nano-Tera research activities: Security

Security encompasses several dimensions in the program, from the concept of secure data exchange through cryptography involving quantum technology to the detection of buried landmines with knowledge of depth via X-ray time-of-flight measurements. The combination of ambient and wearable systems provides us with platforms to enhance human security, for example by monitoring elderly or disabled persons in their homes, or by monitoring the stability of mountain slopes and alpine mass movements.

As such, research in this area represents the underlying social duty for sustainable life and trust.
